February 14, 2013- this was a commission done for my good friend AwkwardAya [Tumblr] aka xKilalax [DeviantART]. She commissioned me for a picture of her character, Nobu Kaneshiro (an Iriomote Cat shapeshifter) with just the prompt "HAPPY Nobu." Which is quite a stretch, since Nobu is a character who has been the victim of many unfortunate plot twists. He was the character who was killed off long before he really developed, and now looking back, you wish you didn't kill him.
So I did this. Nobu, in his feline form - described as "lynx sized" - sleeping next to his AU daughter, Nora.

The snowflakes on the bed sheet are a shout out to Nora's mother, who is Russian, and really likes cold weather. That, and, I thought snowflakes would look nice on the blue color I chose for the bed. The blue came first, and I saw snowflakes came with Photoshop's custom shapes, and, what the heck. I added a bunch.

I'm still really happy with this picture~
