Time to populate this gallery a bit! This was an old character concept for a setting I may use sometime in the future.

So theres this world that possess extreamly advanced wetware technology, but a looooong time ago when people more or less became aware of just how destructive some of this stuff was, they worked up a means of controlling its use through ritual, basically turning all these centuries old processes into very meticulous ritualistic practices that could only be done if you'd reached a certain level of devotion to the Bushido-like code of conduct for its use. basically, if they were sure you weren't going to fly off the handle and go all DBZ on a city. over the centuries these rituals became a way of life for the whole planet, and science became "magic", its true nature unknown to the populous.

Saria wasent always a kitsune. no one on this planet was. the "kitsune" process is an ancient technological transformation performed on people deemed worthy by other sunes, that changes thier bodies to accept the biological programs (spells) of the ancient technology of the planet, as well as increase thier physical prowess. the hair that's shiny there excretes a natural lacquer when going into combat that provides layered protection from attack from behind. each new tail represents a progression down the path of advancement, and carries with it new amazing abilities. in reality the tails contain programs hard coded in their dna structure that the kitsune's adapted body interprets through spinal grafts. Kitsune inevitably become very powerful, and as such very dangerous, and are watched closely by others of thier order. they are the planet's samurai, serving the lords that transformed them, but function more or less like jedi would (anyone who ever wondered where the idea of the jedi order came from need only look at Vader's helmet).

idea and art and whatever else you might wanna jack © me

I was trying to work a little sexy in. I promise she puts on the whole nine yards before she marches off to war. c'mon. gimme the benefit of the doubt here.
