In a roleplay I had with   shura my shapeshifting dragon-fox character developed a technique (with loads of trial and error) to transform another creature with fluid from his body. As much fun transforming another via sex is, he prefers secreting slime from his skin and massages it on the subjects body because it saves him energy.

Here we have Kurai changing his close friend Shujo into a naga as a favor for Shujo's naga girlfriend, Eydis. Shujo is not amused because he didn't have a choice.
