an old post from my FA gallery
- microdisplacement + adpative subsurvif for the brass "sponge" and actual sponge (both used to clean the iron tip when it's hot)
* lots of manipulating "Object" texture coords + linear gradient to mask - noise textures for the iron tip getting discolored towards the end
* similar for the dirty drip guard
still need lots of practice for the iron holder itself, it's too lbobby and vague :(
