He is an human(fromerly)/werewolf. I added human because he was an human before he used the power of the gem of the seven souls to turn himself to a full wolf. His first intention was it to turn himself to a real human because he hated his life as werewolf but when he realized he couldn't be with Grey anymore when he turns into a human he wished that he would be a full wolf. Dean is Greys boyfriend. They met in a bar where Dean was holding a meeting with some business partner of the company of his father. At that time Grey was already drunk and Dean warned him to stop drinking because he disturb the other guests. Grey didn't stop and they just continued to argue until the barkeeper expulse both. Naturally he was scolded by his father afterwards because he was embarassing himself infront of the business partner and demanded that something like that will never happen again. On an other day he was again at another bar with some other clients and Grey was there again. After some time the clients exposed themself as demons and killed many people among the guests. This whole mess was blamed on Deans Company and they want the responsible person to be killed as a ritual cleaning (the murderers blood is for the dead good), Dean was blamed because they couldn't contact the clients Grey and the other Marks saved him and searched for them with Dean. During the search he and Grey got closer and at the end they fell in love, during this short time Dean relaxed a bit and showed his true self, his father was always very strict and didn't want a gay submissive son, so he played the hard and straight son for his whole life but with Grey he finally found someone who accepted him the way he was. But after they finally found the demons who killed these persons Grey decided that it is way too dangerous for him to be with him, he erased Deans memory and then they parted. But before they really parted ( physically) he met him again in another bar as one of the singers on stage he sang a song for him and then left. After they parted some time passed but even if Dean forgot Grey, he couldn't forget this singer who sang this beautiful song and he let the persons from his company search him. After they found Grey Dean developed to a half stalker who watched Grey, after some time he again wanted to know him better and then they became somewhen a couple again. After that it was exposed again that Grey wasn't a normal guy and then Dean exposed that he is also not a normal guy (Werewolf).
