I try to limit how often I redraw older pictures, as I think that's best reserved for either showcasing progress or as some type of commemoration. In this case, it's both; this is a redraw of "Pilot Light," my first ever charcoal work, which I posted about a year ago. I do still feel an odd bit of pride over how relatively well that piece ended up, given my inexperience with the medium and with art in general, but I am also happy to revisit the subject with greater facility to do it justice.
