So, she has a name now. Not sure how much I'll end up doing with her, and I'm still obviously working out her design. It should hopefully become more consistent eventually.

Flames consumed the last of the pages. The ashes winked out and she sighed. It was probably for the best that no one knew what she had written, better if she could just find some way to disappear. Throttling that old ache, she turned back in the direction of the house. Not home. She had come far enough out that the light would not be visible from there. It would be okay, maybe. Climbing up to her window and slipping inside was about as easy as it ever was. She pulled the sheets over herself after checking that she had not brought any leaves or twigs inside. The light in the hallway clicked on and she fought to control both her breath and her heartbeat. If she just looked like she was asleep...

Fingers of no particular color poked at the ash that had not yet been scattered. What they coaxed out of it was not any remaining paper, but rather the words themselves.

I don't know what to do.
I feel like I'm coming apart.
I want to get out of here.

Why ask for help if you thought no one was listening?

The words vanished in a flash of golden light. The little patch of earth was empty, as if nothing had passed that way this night.
