From chapter 64 of Calm Wind's story "Piercing the Heavens." A gift, because I've really enjoyed his writing thus far.

This is one piece that I ended up sinking a lot more time into than I'd expected to, in part because I hadn't done much at all with horses before and had, really, a minimal grasp of how their anatomy works. Came back to it after research and practice with some of my own characters. Even then, it's more involved than most of the pieces I've done recently. My muse had me, and it was a bunch of fun as a result.
