I think I should also mention while I'm here that I commissioned vibrantechoes to design my sona. When I'm not being a Pokemon, this is the form I'm going to take on from now on! (that means me, personally. Not my characters like Remington the Munchlax.)


Sanguis is an Essence Dragon. Essence Dragons are a race of spirits living in a magic-saturated plane known to humans as the Runespan. In this dimension, every sentient creature is a collection of magic around a consciousness rather than a living being. To give themselves bodies to inhabit, they merge themselves into magic-holding rocks which they then shape into their bodies from within. Different consciousnesses have different ways of shaping their bodies, and Essence Dragons have the best way by far - draconic beings relying on magic for travel and combat.


There are multiple magical elements in the Runespan. Sanguis is a dragon with one of the most powerful elements, blood. It is an essence of life and vitality (and fertility). This allows him to surpass the need to remain in the Runespan, since he can hold the essence of life on his own. Therefor he uses magic he's picked up from observing humans to travel to different planes of existence and see what he can find. There's a lot of interesting places for him to explore, and lots of interesting characters to meet. Like you!
