This here is one of my favorite creatures at the Kansas City Zoo. It's the Secretary Bird, a very unique raptor. What make this guy stand out form the other Raptors like Hawks, Eagles, or Falcons, is it's long neck and legs. No other Raptor has that feature. I find this guy to be a very beautiful bird, I love the pretty crest it has on top of its head and its very beautiful plumage. Now unlike most other raptors, this guy hunts for food from the ground instead of from a high pearch or on the wing. When it find its prey, it will kick the preys butt until all of its bones are broken and the prey is dieing from it. I have seen Videos of these bird attacking their prey and from what I seen there, you don't want to be on this Guy's bad side.

The KC Zoo does not cover the top of the pen here as guy here is unable to fly having sustained a non repairable wing injury leaving it unable to fly out.
