Quaylak v.4 -- 2011

SavageTurtleStudios

A wild cheetahmonstur appeared at Anthrocon this past weekend! :o

This is the product of several weeks worth of nearly non-stop work, no sleep, and a couple dashes of blood, sweat, and tears (you can find small cans of the stuff next to the Mrs.Dash in most grocery stores).

Basically, this costume is an example of why jakejynx and myself work so well together and how far we've both come since we started up SavageTurtleStudios in 2007. He created the entire bodysuit and I made the head, as is the norm for all of our costumes. But cheetahmonstur here is special; she is just about the best of the best as far as what we're currently capable of. And we are very proud of her!

I have a boatload more pictures that were taken of her and some other suiters while we were out and about. We also had some really fantastic shots taken during our SavageTurtleStudios photoshoot on Saturday. For now, enjoy these shots! I'll try and get the other photos cleaned up and uploaded in the next couple weeks.

We hope you guys like her and thank you so much to those who stopped to tell us what they thought of her at AC. She was a blast to run around in, which makes all the work that we put into her totally worth it. c:

It should be noted that we referenced Arito's Dorito suit for her legs (with permission, mind you), as they are easily the best digi legs I've ever seen on a suit. We didn't want to match them exactly, so we sort of blew out her proportions a bit more to match my body type and exaggerate certain parts of her. Plus, she's sort of a fat, dumpy little monstur, so her legs are more round and chibi-ish to match my art. Regardless, credit should be given where it is due, and Dorito was a great inspiration for this particular leg style. <3

Note: We are currently populating our new gallery here at Weasyl with our previous works. As such, you will be seeing older work which may not represent our current style or skill level.
