coincidentally part of this one is true, except the fact this customer did not come to the counter and speak his own native tongue.
he came into the shop, said what must have been "hello, good day," in his own language, and it is a language i've never heard spoken before. so, only after he left did i piece it together.
but how would you have handled a customer who cannot speak any other language?
i work the eastern equivalent of a curios shop. so, i turned that around to focus more on western things. i think it works without being too direct. also, yes. i have seen some pretty... fashionable customers.
