A WIP sketch for an art challenge on DA. I chose to re-imagine my character Kalisha, and pair her up with a Karona (my own fantasy horse species) for this very interesting group. Kali has never really been fleshed out as a character. She's been with me for ages in various shapes mostly feral and dragony, but I finally feel the inspiration to flesh out an anthro version properly.

In this case she works with horses for a living, currently employed at the Crimson Poppy Stable. Boomer is the name of her Karona (http://karonas.deviantart.com/) and the two have been a team for 12 years. At the moment they are on their way to explore something called the Red Zone. It's a horror-type art challenge, so it'll be exciting to see what happens to all the characters involved!
