*Pain lacerated his form, jaws parted as his voice mangled and torn rose defiantly into the blood filled air. His knee crunched heavily onto the sodden ground, agony scorched through his form; he still looked up at them all, defiance seething in his enraged gaze. A mandible dangling uselessly from the side of his face, barely held on by a few tendons and muscle tissue, a talon rising up, grasped the ruined mandible; with a rising bellow of his fury, the forgotten part was tossed to the side as he slowly pulled himself to his feet between the ruin and destruction of everything he had worked so hard to achieve and protect. He had lost so much, and still had much to protect… to fight for. *
