I enjoyed doing so, if I'm to be honest! It's something about this picture that just made me sit for a while to look at it and think about it. It's not something I usually do but you requested critique so I decided to put my thoughts into words. If it helped you in any way to feel good about this picture, then I'm very happy I did! c:
Doing a variety of styles is one way to find that special heart-style, the one you eventually draw with without a blink of the eye. Don't worry about experimenting, that's a great way to go!-

The character is drawn in a nice style that feels cartoony, which I'm not always one hundred percent for but in this picture it looks very good and well done. In fact I like the style a lot! The background if subtle and does not steal away from the figure in the foreground but yet looks believable and to proportion in the angle. The colors blend very well and the blue shadows looks natural in the picture.
The 'selfie' feeling to it connects a lot more to me, with it being a big part of my surroundings and social circle c:
