• I asked for the bubble on Otto's head after being inspired by some scenes from the Pokémon Sun and Moon anime, and while I've had the "bubble helmet" idea for some time, Otto is the only character I have that really works well with it.


• The inflatable shark is based on the character Sharko from the show Zig and Sharko, where the former is a hyena who is constantly thwarted by the latter in his attempts to eat a mermaid.
