I had this commissioned as a homage to the Italian rock band Måneskin, specifically their performance of the song Zitti e Buoni (Shut Up and Behave) at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest, as well as a crossover with Pixar's Luca, which came out the same year. My original plan was to commission 2 separate pieces, one of them being the Måneskin homage and the other based on a scene from Luca, but I combined them for several reasons. I did get something that was more faithful to the Eurovision performance later on, and I am planning to get a reworked version of that Luca-inspired idea made someday.
