This was drawn quite a while back, and when I was playing around with different styles.
The hard part about playing around like this, is if I like what I did, 90% of the time I can never recreate it...
It's odd really... sometimes I'll figure out a style where I REALLY like how I did something. Let's say... profiles. I have trouble with them normally, but on rare occasions it all works out and I'll fill an entire page worth of perfect profile doodles. Then I'll try again the next day, and for the life of me, cannot tap into that knowledge again.
It's like there's a switch in my brain. It's really annoying, and happens all the time. This picture here is one of the products from my weird "suddenly inspired" times. I truly wish I could remember how I did it. :/
I guess I'm a weird artist when it comes to drawing. I art based on feeling, not by... how things look? I can't recreate my own style, it just comes out however it wants to come out. @_@;
Hahahah tell me about it! I've definitely had similar problems. I've realized that a style is more about the cumulative effect of a few thousand hours of pencil mileage. Also, if it's good, it'll come back around to you. =]
