When wars were fought with pillows, glowing streaks in the sky meant you got a wish, and the reason you didn't sleep at night was that you were having too much fun.

One of a few drawings made around the concept of putting Sally Acorn and her freedom fighters in the universe of Sonic Underground. (It was hinted they existed there; a statue looking a lot like King Acorn showed up in one flashback episode, and the shows shared some writers.) For me, one of the strongest themes about both shows was the loss of innocence and other things that just won't come back.

At this time, I actively started working to improve my coloring, trying to learn new shading tricks. A lot of different pencils and markers mixed here.
