Polaris, The Fallen Star by Rito (critique requested)

Polaris, The Fallen Star (critique requested)

Rito

"A star once chose to fall to Earth,
To help a people led astray,
Once he touched down, he was Earthbound,
Turned upon by those he came to help.

Too late he saw he arrived too soon,
to a world not ready for the strange.

His soul was torn asunder, his heart ripped to shreds,
To madness his mind nearly slipped, but then
one who would not be captor
renewed in him the way.

Broken, torn, battered, and weak,
He fought his way to freedom,
But far from turning his back on these lands,
He traveled them, learned from them,
and decided to help by subtler means.
To this day the fallen Star walks the Earth,
quietly helping, silently guarding, until
the time they were ready for his wisdom."

Linework practice that started as a sketch of a character that.... just kept going.
