It's been a while since I started this work. Slowly it seems to be getting finished, at least I think so. 
I wanted to do something with crayons again. Burnishing is the most time-consuming. 
Out of sheer necessity I named the cheetah Neil, because a documentary about the first moon landing was on TV while I was sketching.

I have a hunch that I might make good use of a scanner. ^^ 
But it's just WIP pictures because I'm bored right now. So that's okay.

Neil has beautiful impressions on his trip to Asia.
The people are friendly and some situations are almost bizarrely cute.
An old tiger monk asks him about his necklace and so he learns that it is not a steering wheel for a sailing ship, but the wheel of Dharma, the symbol of Buddhism. The climate is really extreme. The heat is no problem for a cheetah, he says, but this humidity! A thunderstorm every twenty minutes.
