A small and willful child, Lace displayed latent magical ability even at a young age. Her parent's recognized her potential and worked hard to give her the best opportunities to exercise her magic and learn from other pouflon more adept than themselves. They were dismayed when Lace not only shirked her lessons but often scraped with the other students (and occasionally had a go at the masters themselves, maybe, once... or twice).

"I don't want to learn magic," she told them sullenly one afternoon in her youth, "I want to be a knight."

Her parents exchanged a glance (one of... well, many) but they tried to do their best by their daughter, enlisting her in the appropriate classes. As with most of the endearingly referred to "Pixes", she began training in flight, focusing on swiftness in both travel and maneuverability. They were also taught basic defense and combat techniques, but not as in depth as in the training of the larger enlistees.

Lace performed her courier duties and errands to the best of her ability, but she couldn't help but wish for more. Willful to a fault, she often showed up to classes she was not enlisted in when her other duties were complete. More often than not she was permitted to watch-- but when she began to insist that she be allowed to participate, well....

She still tries, scrapping with her fellow students after hours and showing persistence and perseverance in her studies. In and out of class she attempts to adhere to a code of chivalry, but her temper often gets in the way of her best intentions and has resulted in many scrapes and bruises.

Mostly her own.

She dreams to one day be among the best of the knights of the realm, (perhaps, she wishes on particularly bright nights, a personal guard to her Majesty!). For now she works hard, diligently pursues her lofty goals, and quite frankly, spends a lot of time doing punishment work to build her "character".
