Wreath 2014 - The Beginning

Rezorian

This is where it all starts my dear, the Wreath that graced our home for only days around that magical Xmas season. In those (surprisingly warm) December days, it hung as a reminder that I make things sometimes. Also, it was a reminder that I do not plan things well, but I'm getting ahead of myself...

So a few journals ago I mentioned that I wanted to get some kind of creative thing going. I don't draw often, if at all, so I have nothing to really show for that. Making a wreath for the Christmas holiday this year seemed like a nice alternative, in my mind anyway. It started not simply and, as you shall see, ended with a sub par little decoration to say the least.

For now though, enjoy this multiple part saga of crafts and conundrums, condensed into foolishly designed prose over the next few submissions.

It was an item purchased in jest you see, a simple toy to hang and nothing more. The man, better known as the grinch to those around him during the holidays, decided that it could be something else. He began to imagine streaks of color, patterns of silver and white, stripes of red and glitter to match the gold he often saw. It laid there to taught his ambition, only in his mind no doubt, but there it lay all the same. Implements of his temporary trade were by it's side, prepared to do their part in this holiday farce...
