Most of the regulars at Bradshaw's shoppe were pretty fond of Nick; the kid was scrappy, and watching him interact with the old bull was always a hoot. Still, Jamie took a particular shining to the boy, and Nick couldn't help do the same. The military folk always fascinated him...and when Jamie offered to let him wear his jacket, he all but jumped at the chance.
