At some point in my random internet drawings I saw that someone had drawn Donald duck and I thought “well, why not?”

Donald has always been an odd character to me. I’m not actually much of a fan of the Mickey Mouse gang, they’re all kind of bland and safe at times. (though there have been some shorts that are really excellent and use the character’s stock personalities to great effect). But Donald is always interesting. He’s human. He get his uppance for the mischief he causes, but often he isn’t the one who starts the fight. I remember a short where all of the comedy is centered around Donald just trying to sit in a rather unyielding folding chair. He gets frustrated with something that was already not working and fighting just makes things worse. I guess I can feel like that at times, not able to catch a break and making things worse when I have a meltdown.

With Donald, the credits usually rolled when he just gave up and let the mess, and the laughs, fall where it wanted.
