Today is better than usual... Though some early-morning gaming as I was waiting for the coffee to brew had me realizing that I had to make a trip to the grocer because the game I bought a while ago on sale (Devil May Cry 4) was the wrong disc (it was the HD Collection.) I know that the purests of this franchise might want to tell me to start at the beginning and I do understand where they seem to be coming from since the game started off with a cutscene that seemed like it was a bit of a continuation from a previous game... But to be fair my decision was made more because it was $8 on sale used at the Gamestop.

That said... The thing I noticed was that when I game I grip the controller really tightly if it's a frantic gaming session... And though the hand is doing better (I can bend the wrist down to about 45 degrees without experiencing that stretch/resistance) I was reminded that it's still not at 100%. That's okay, I'm able to accept that it's going to take a while go get back to top-form and I am working through that... But still, had a bit of an "owie" then. No worries though, an advil and doing some rehab exercises helped with that.

That said, DMC4 looks and plays pretty freaking awesomely! This was a bit of a personal and business purchase since I'm researching spectacle-fighters. The melee weapons in the game I'm making I've always wanted to make them similar (since every character has a melee weapon, some have multiples) and most of my experience with them prior to the game dev pursuit was with DC Universe Online. The control scheme I have for the game is mouse+keyboard and the right mouse click is a weapon toggle/swap deal... So, I've been working on a "click/hold" combo system. I'm totally in the dark on this one though so that's why I've been (weakly) justifying the purchases... But I'm also a big fan of gaming anyway. That said, I know the justification is weak.

Anyhoo, enough of that... I have work to do (this week it's animation... Not my strongest suit but I'm getting better at it.)
