"The sun is setting, and Emma slowly strolls through the drawing room. She dressed in her finest gown, expecting some dear friend's over for drinks, music, and perhaps a dance this evening. As she greets her friends, she smiles, raising a flirtatious paw to her muzzle as she laughs softly to herself. Perhaps a certain gentleman or ladyfur has said something that amused her?"
A personal piece I've been working on in between commissions, It represents over 24 hours of work over the course of a week. I rarely put this much detail or care into art because life simply doesn't allow me the time to do it that often.
If you didn't know already, I'm REALLY into history (its one of my greatest passions, perhaps even more than guns) And I enjoy learning everything about history... everything from people's daily lives, to culture, politics, medicine, and warfare of previous times.
Historical fashion interests me as well, with some of my favorite historical fashions coming from the many decades that span the Victorian era. In women's fashions, the bustle gowns of the 1870's are probably my favorite.
If you like this sort of thing, I can do it as a commission. I don't charge extra for elaborate outfits, but a background of this level of detail and shading will add an additional $50 to the cost of the picture. It takes twice as long to draw the background than the character. (IE..this picture would be an example of a $75.00 commission from me)
I'm so happy that you like it! <3 I don't know why, but I've got a passion for drawing historical clothing. I wish more furs were into it, because I'd love to draw it for them :)
