A friend of mine once recommended a drawing challenge they read about online. The goal is to scribble randomly for 10 seconds, and then from that doodle design something more elaborate. It's an exercise to bring out more creativity in the artist.

So, somehow I managed to create "Buggy" out of... whatever the hell I scrawled in the 10-second doodle on the right. I immediately saw a mosquito body in the center when I stopped, so I thought, "okay, insect it is!" And that weird tumor thing at the top of the doodle turned into spike things I guess. Finally, I originally wanted all those really big spikes (or fuzz, if that's how you see it as) to be wings, but they looked too weird to me when I tried to draw them out.
