I was going to make a Greek Easter bread, but I didn't have enough time and I need to go to work tomorrow, so I made this instead. I was just following the recipe of a historical cookbook, which contained recipes from the past. I wanted to see how it turned out if I did exactly what it says and this is what I got. I knew the recipe wasn't going to be perfect, but I did it anyway just for some recreational fun. I haven't tasted it yet, but I will tomorrow.
Also, the sauce might appear to be gritty and that's because I'm not good at chopping things into fine grains. I only turn them into tiny little chunks. I didn't want to have to wash the food processor.
