I guess this is like the welcome sign to Romney Manor, a cultural heritage site in St. Kitts.

"Romney Manor has a remarkable place in European, Caribbean and U.S. History.

Its origins date from 1626 when the following Carib Indian Massacres, the Europeans were able to take over this location.

The site was originally where King Tegreman the Carib Indian leader had his settlement. However, following his demise, Sam Jefferson, one of the original settlers, claimed it as his own. Here he established his residence, "The Red House." Sam Jefferson was the great, great, great grandfather of Thomas Jefferson, 3rd president of the United States of America.

By mid 17th century Sam Jefferson, sold part of Wingfield Estate to the Earl of Romney. The Earl renamed the house Romney Manor and the estate, Romney's. Successive Earls of Romney owned Romney's Estate until the late 19th century.

Over the centuries the house, gardens and grounds have changed considerably. Hurricanes, fires, termites and planned development have all influenced the Manor and its environs."
