This is a picture that I drew in college using only color pencils; no mechanical or graphite pencils involved. The teacher made me sketch out the candy we were drawing from observation. I had a bit of a hard time with the caramel cream candy because I was trying to draw its shape in perfect form, but my tops kept looking like circles and I was trying to go for a bit more ovalish look. The caramel at the far right was my first try and the one on the left was my second try. The hardest of the candy was the Tootsie Roll, which also happens to be my favorite drawing because of how well done it looks. The wrapper's ends looked very frustrating to do; I tried my best, but I think it looks half-finished. Now the outlines of the candy, especially the soft peppermint and the TR wrapper can be hard to see because the scanner keeps making pictures brighter than they actually are.
