Alvina met Gyoza while out on a walk around a large lake. Gyoza, who was impressed by the shiny fur on Alvina's arcanine Scharlotte, decided she wanted to stick around and live the luxury life with the trainer.
Her favorite passtimes are lounging and giving rides to smaller pokemon around bodies of water.
