A little something I did for ScottTheFox94

Been wanting to draw something for him. Ever since I started to dip my toes into anthropomorphic art again. I gave up on art years ago due to numerous issues. I needed an avatar to use as a Mascot. But after making them, I started to feel a little underwhelmed since I wasn’t happy with how the mascot looked. So after thinking for a long while, I settled on splitting the Mascot into two.

The development of Nelgtra was, for the lack of a better word, hellish. Since I wanted him to stand out on his own as the Mascot of the brand name I decided [ RandomCanis ]. And it’s only a recent development that I got the proper visuals I’m satisfied with for him. Speaking of which, I need to get a profile picture with a better resolution than my current one. I’ll do it later (I might forget about this).

And after I split the two apart, Rutherford was also created. Yes, that is the name I adopted irl. And just like Nlegtra, he had a development hell of his own. Only this time, I struggled with what species to use. Unlike Nlegtra who I keep as an Unspecified Canid (Funnily enough, I looked up how different languages say the word “Random” and mixed them around until I got the name Nlegtra). I wanted Rutherford to be a personal avatar I used to interact people with. So I scrolled through a lot of galleries. A lot of sites (Some that made me question my life chocies more often than not). Until I started to lean towards the vulpine appearance. A little more scrolling on reddit, this is actually the part I still find hilarious. I stumbled upon the edit of a “Vanity Fur” magazine with the title “Top Dom Fox”. And having learned of the meme culture in the fandom. That got a good giggle out of me. So I did some searching, found Koul, and through them I found Scott’s gallery. So after a month of contemplating, as well as looking for more examples of vulpine avatars. I decided to make Rutherford into a fox. And the rest is history.

So after that long explanation, this is like a fan art and a little thank you gift in one package.
