I unearthed an old photo of me from when I was about thirteen. It was the first and only time I willingly performed on stage. It was our junior high play we put on for the school. Ours was going to be Aladdin. I got the role of playing Robin Williams' Genie, having already memories every line by heart, from watching the movie to death when I was a kid. They got another kid to play the singing part, because "I am NOT singing in front of people!" =O//////O= After I finished my part, I had to run across the field to the cafeteria, to give the skullcap to the boy, so he could do the singing scene (though his "costume" was just a white t-shirt, and blue jogging pants, and no makeup; whereas I got to sit in the makeup chair, and get painted all blue, and had a rather fancy costume, which I think I may still have buried in some drawer.)

It was a success. I got hounded by girls to "do the line!" well into high school. However, there was one thing I didn't expect to encounter when it was my turn to perform...

... I couldn't lift my leg up high enough to climb onto the stage.

They didn't have stairs on the side, I don't think. I just remember everyone hopping up from the back of stage right, but I was the only one who couldn't reach it. I had to jump up a few times; get my chest onto the stage, and then awkwardly roll myself into the scene. =^____^=;;;

My mom kept saying I should have done more theater in school, because I was so good at doing impressions all the time, and I would always act out the scenes in whatever story I was telling.
