My forth Zbrush sculpt. My instructor thought it would be necessary and good practice if we we had to sculpt another student's creature concept from one of his other classes. We were on a short leash with this one -since in the industry, you're usually sculpting or drawing the original designer's work. We could pose the character however we wanted, but we couldn't make any major changes to the design like adding antennas, wings, extra appendages, etc. We could only tweak the anatomy if the original design had a few flaws and we cannot change the color palette of the creature. In PJ's(the designer of this creature) concept, there were a few things that were atomically off, including legs that were tiny and a head that was over-sized. I took a bit of a risk with this, by putting it into an action pose - but I did enjoy doing this. I found out the best way to do fur. (lol if you ever decide to do Zbrush and sculpt a furry animal - don't use any of the groom brushes. They are not what you think they are. I did a cat with the standard groom brush and my sculpt had hundreds of tiny holes in it - which would have to be fixed if you ever considered 3d printing your model)

Overall, I loved doing PJ's concept - it was fun doing something bug like for a change. If I could, I wish that I could give a link to the original drawing - but I don't think PJ has a DA or has his work online. If I ever find out, I'll post a link.
