This is a request I did for Lonaasilverclawx3 on FA, and it’s not only the first pic I drew in SAI, but also the first digital art from me with an elaborate background. And I have to say, while I’m usually pretty harsh on my own art, I’m proud of how this turned out. I get slowly accustomed to drawing with a tablet, and the less clumsy I feel with it, the more I can enjoy the endless possibilities of digital art. At the beginning I felt mostly frustration when drawing digitally, because, as someone told me, one does get inevitable worse when he starts with a tablet, and, boy, was it true...

But now, as I slowly ease myself into his type of drawing, I see with relief that the results get better. Still a long way to go, but improvement does never really end for any artist, I guess, especially for beginner like me XD And I really liked the theme of this request, me being a hopeless romantic. It was about a girl sitting in the grass, holding a rose, blushing and being lost in thought, happy and mindful, since she found love in her life. The pink horizon does probably not go 100% correctly with the applied lighting, but screw it, a romantic moment isn’t complete without sunset-mood ;-)
