The character looks really awesome against the background painting, and the style between clean outline and color in the foreground work really well with the more painterly style in the back. He's gone some place high to meditate. ^.^
The only thing I can think of critique wise, is, even though the character is the central focus of the image, maybe not putting him /right/ in the middle.
It could have worked well too with the character a bit more to the right, and his incense pot sitting on the left side, closer to the actual middle of his perch. Then the rocks in the background could have been arrange so that the clear 'path' between them was angled away from the center, so you could follow that 'path' back and forth between character and background. That would have also made the vanishing point more interesting.
But scratches head I don't always think of all of these things when I do a drawing either. Needs to practice actually /using/ this knowledge Xp
