Howlite is not a fighter, rather she’s a mediator who uses her ability to become an attachment between a person’s past and present to understand their turmoil. Through this, she creates a quick burn red thread that allows a person to heal faster from their inner pains. However, by doing this, she takes in their pain, and keeps it bottle up inside her. This causes her to feel weigh down. Despite gems do not need sleep, Howlite feels chronically fatigue like she has little to no energy. This comes off as lazy and unmotivated to others, so she struggles constantly to keep working in order to prove her worth.

Howlite wishes she didn’t feel so weigh down by all these negative emotions building up inside her. It drains her, it makes her helpless, and she hates it, but she continues to use her ability to help others emotionally. To rid the feelings of sadness, of hurt, of betrayal and of pride being shattered into million of stardust pieces.

From the emotions Howlite has bottle up, she can create glass-shattering, ground-crackling screams to knock enemies back and cause temporary deafness. This is only used when Howlite is cornered however, because it takes so much energy out of her that she only has enough to make a quick escape. After resting, Howlite feels much better, lighter even – though it doesn’t last for long.
