Zach thought that a mechanical arm would shake up his life too much for his liking. After all, a piece of him was removed, rather brutally, and he doesn’t know how he could adjust to a piece of technology now stuck to his body.

Within time, Zach did readjust, and it started to slowly disappear from his mind how his right hand looked different from his left hand.

Everything fell back into a routine. A break from work to go to a cafe nearby, order a cup of coffee, the worker always wrote his name wrong (no matter how many times he corrected her) and worked on another page of crossword puzzles.

Basically: nothing changed, and life goes on. With the occasional maintenance here and there.
