Eventually Ever After

RaddaRaem

By trade, Morgan is a White Mage. Doling out boons and buffs to keep her friends and allies fighting at their best! Through thick and thin the raccoon has resolved to keep herself ingratiated amongst her comrades even in the most ferocious of fights. She leads by doing and is loathe to dole out spells and supportive well wishes from the sidelines.

She escaped from there some time back and has no intent to return! Having returned to normal, everyone save Tyridia at least, Morgan contentedly waits out one last bit of magical shenanigans with her best friend.

So! This isn't actually part of the Sizable Reservations story but the picture was just too amazing to be left as a thumbnail! So I wrote up an epilogue to the epilogue for it.

There's a completed story detailing it even that you can find here!

This absolutely fantastic and crazy good picture comes courtesy of the awesome and super talented BenDragon!

As for the rest of the picture series accompanying the story that this serves as an extra epilogue to...

Eventually Ever After

“The eventually part of ‘this will wear off eventually’ sure is taking its sweet time…” Tyridia uneasily mumbled. Arms cradled behind his head, the fox sighed and nuzzled the back of his head into Morgan’s padded heel.

Morgan curled her toes in response, smirking at the sensation of her tiny friend rising and falling with the wrinkles that formed upon her sole. “I was wumbo for, what, an entire day? It’s been all of an afternoon, Tyr. Patience.” Running a thumb along her lips, the raccoon proceeded to flip to the next page in the tome resting on the pillow before her.

Tyridia withheld the urge to sigh and settled for sinking his diminutive fingers between the folds of flesh at his side. His clawed digits came to be pinched between them as his large and lovely lady friend shyly scrunched her paws at the sensation.

Pointed teeth poking into his bottom lip, Tyr chewed on his thoughts while a comfortable silence settled upon the couple. He was loath to break it with yet another mealy mouthed apology. Alone with his thoughts, the fox swallowed hard at the realization he had gone and mentally described the two of them as a couple. T-t-they really kinda sorta were now and gosh that was a nice thought. M-maybe not in name, though honestly did it really matter if they formally declared it? Probably not and no no no stop overthinking it like you always do. The fox shuddered in delight at the thought that they had grown to be more than friends. T-they had hugged and held hands and augh gosh he couldn’t screw this up but the more he thought about not screwing it up the more nervous he got and all the more assured that he would and dammit dammit dammit why couldn’t he just stop thinking.

Aglow and radiating with a newfound bout of embarrassment, Tyr opted for sinking as far as he was able into Morgan’s sole. His pinhead sized feet gently kicked back and forth against those monumental toes that curled back to tease at him.

“Say, uh, Morgan… is this weird?”

“Well yeah,” she answered without hesitation. “The past two days have been nothing but.”

The fox clamped his teeth together. Given that, ignoring the shit show that had been yesterday, over the course of a few hours he had accidentally shrunken himself and was now lying prone upon his best friend’s broad sole… he wasn’t sure what kind of answer he had been hoping for. Pressing his tongue against the roof of his mouth, the fox’s unconscious reflex to apologize dragged out into a raspy whistle. Wow. He consciously had to resist the urge to apologize.

Tyrida exhaled loudly while he composed himself. “Yeahhhh. Yeah. No promises, but, I’ll do everything I can to earn us some sort of reprieve from this.” Tilting his head back, nestling further into the warm feetsy flesh beneath him, the fox’s eyes followed the undulations of the raccoon tail flitting above him.

“I appreciate it, Tyr. We’re not quite at the point where I would say I can look back fondly on these newly made memories but they weren’t all bad. Most of them, sure, but not all of them. It uh… it helped that I had you to share them with.”

Tyr laughed nervously as his cheeks spread wide into a bashful grin. A pained one at that. Oof. His facial muscles actually ached from doing so. It was hilarious, in the morbidly depressing kind of way, that he could be horribly out of practice at conveying such a sincere gesture.

“That and, now that I’m not actively suffering from the effects of them, I am legitimately curious as to the capabilities of illusion spells. Along with other status inflictions. You and Xis more or less accidentally cast ‘Enlarge’ on me. Or at least something people would peg as an ‘Enlarge’ spell. If it actually existed.” Morgan cleared her throat and started reading aloud. “A long theorized spell that has ever bore out in practice. Its theorized counterpart, ‘Mini,’ has proven equally elusive. Sizecasting, if such a school of magic can even be said to exist, defies all known rules of spellcraft. ”

“Huh,” Tyridia answered. Brows arched, the fox slid down along the raccoon’s sole and took up a lopsided game of footsie with a clawed toe nearly half his size. Pressing his own paws against it, Morgan’s padded digit wiggled side to side before pressing back and bunching the fox’s knees up against his chest.

“People have obsessed over the possibilities of doing so for ages and here you go and accidentally bumble into both one after the other,” Morgan snrrked. "Or, I guess it's more accurate to say that you imagined and illusioned up what most people think would pass for an 'Enlarge' or a 'Mini' spell if they actually existed."

Tyridia oofed as a plump toe pinned him against his looming and lovely lady’s soft sole. Dimpling into the padded flesh, he rubbed his hands along its furred sides. “To be fair, I did cheat. Kind of. We can thank the inverse relationship between my composure and imagination all the same.” Tyr wheezed while he felt Morgan’s padded flesh mold around his limbs as he was buried into her padded paw. “Any other status spells catch your eye? I know you’re all about lifting them, the negative ones anyway, but with Reverse at your disposal there’s practically nothing you can’t do. I… I think those negatives cancelled out properly?”

Morgan hmmed in agreement. “That’s what I was thinking at first too! But, eh, the applications seem limited. I can alleviate Blind and Poison spells easy peasy with Esuna. Yet the opposite of Blind is just… not being blind. Unless I cast a Reverse spell paired with Blind on somebody who could use improved eyesight? Like an archer maybe? The application would be niche at best. Then the reverse of Poison would pretty much be Regen which is already a spell. That I happen to know. What else… the opposite of Slow is Haste and so on and so forth and you get the point,” Morgan dismissively tapered off as she swished her hand about her wrist.

The fox slapped a hand against the side of the raccoon’s toe to indicate he was tapping out and forfeiting at footsie. Breathing easily as the pronounced weight lifted off his chest, Tyr took to pondering aloud even as he remained imprinted into her sole. “What about… what about if you paired Reverse with Esuna? That’s supposed to cure just about every malady there is, right? Wouldn’t that paired with Reverse practically plague somebody?”

Morgan’s ears perked up at the thought. “Hmmm. Poisoning, blinding, and paralyzing someone with a single spellcast? That seems not just hilariously overpowered but downright mean. …Remind me to give it a whirl the next time we run into Velexus.”

Tyr stifled a giggle. “Can do!” His cream tipped tail swished, or tried to anyway, behind him. The ticklish sensations prompted laughter that rattled his ribs from the white mage he continued to recline upon. Flirtations aside, the foxy illusionist scrunched his lips and furrowed his brows in thought. “Now those status effects I get. They’re immediate, pragmatic, and unquestionably useful. ‘Enlarge’ I guess I could see. ‘Mini,’ though? What use is there in being itty bitty?”

“It helped you sneak into my room, didn’t it?” Morgan teased back with a twiddle of her toes.

“I. Yes but. Mmfff. Okay so maybe I can there being sooooome appeal to it,” Tyridia huffed.
