Building in the background is the original structure of Middle College, the first building at Beloit College, founded in 1846, two years before the actual founding of the state itself. The building still stands, although renovated.
Beloit is also my alma mater! I also lived in a building built around the time of the college's founding for three years of school, and sometimes the plumbing felt like it was stuck in the 1840's.
