Andre's leftovers

pupydogeyes

this is Andre. he was a young male deer, probably less than 5 years old i wanna say. His cause of death is unknown but what I do know is the hip is broken and most of the leg bits are gone besides the metacarpal and such. One would assume he was hit and lay there to die also judging by his position? but im no expert
this is my first time finding bones and cleaning them so i need some advice if anyone can give me any
I laid them in fabric detergent and water from the hose for almost a week i wanna say. I changed the water as it got cloudy or smelly and today I scrubbed them all with a toothbrush. My current issue is getting dirt out from crevices in the teeth, removing the rest of the green and orange residue from the bones, cleaning out the crannies inside the skull, and making sure they are completely disinfected as they reek like all hell
the bones are not for online sale
suggestions are mucho appreciated

    I've heard you're supposed to leave them out to be sunbleached and for the inner bits to be munched by bugs and the like, but I'm not entirely sure owo;

      oh meat wise thats all taken care of. anything that still had meat was left behind and that was just a hoof really. And as for sun bleaching i think thats after basic cleansing just a guess. weve had rain here on and off so ill have to wait a while before i pop em out? i dunno. thank you though!!

      I am also worried if i leave it to the bugs, ill find yet another beehive in the back. When i first found the skull the nest had been long since vacated and it just came out today but i'd hate to get stung!!
