Aaron loves New Year's Eve. Before he starts drinking, he likes the new start it represents. After he starts drinking, he just likes the drinking part. On New Year's Day, he hates everything, including whoever coerced him into drinking the night before (spoiler alert: no one coerced him).

Carson also likes what New Year's Eve represents. But once Aaron gets drinking, Aaron gets cuddly, and Carson has a reeaaally hard time keeping his crush under wraps. So he doesn't get to appreciate the holiday as much as he could. I don't think he really minds.

Carson is the kind of person who blushes violently whenever he's embarrassed, while Aaron almost never blushes, though he does get a bit flushed when he's drunk.
