Bad blood begins to spill over. Martin was recruited onto Spitfire as the team’s roster was in shambles at the start of the year. Old members had graduated, one dropped out, and the last time anybody heard from Neen was early into the summer break. Down to just Hex and Sandra, an intense recruitment process began, resulting in Dot, Martin and Jordan joining Spitfire.

Sandra isn’t the best coordinator, though, and never found herself in need of Martin’s skills because the others had those weaknesses covered. After about a month and a half of never partaking in a fight, an embittered Martin was ready to walk out.

Carrie saw the building rage in Martin and lunged at the opportunity to recruit him, pulling him right out from under Spitfire’s nose. The blow was surgical and devastating: not only did she gain a powerhouse for Wrought Iron, but she stuck it to Spitfire in the cruelest, most personal way she could get away with.
