the tails are usually matched with the variety of punipaw it is, the lion ones are most commonly found on unicorn and alicorn types and the horse on the horse and pegasus, but it's not impossible for them to be mixed around tho it's uncommon
same goes for the horns, they're most common on unicorn and alicorns, while horse and pegasus often don't have any
if a punipaw does have a horn, it's most likely a single horn, double horns aren't as common
