I actually commissioned this from Spunky at Anthrocon 2015. I don't know why I didn't get around to posting it before now, but the theme for the con was "Viking Invasion". Naturally the Vikings were known for being fearsome seafaring warriors, and brave men would shake in their boots at the sight of their elaborately decorated pool floats coming over the horizon, which was the inspiration for this picture.
