Newton has a sock-style head with a small modification to elongate the nose. The body pattern is lined on the inside with polyfill stuffed between the lining and body fur to give it the belly. His arms, hands, haunches and feet are also all stuffed with polyfill. Hands have posable fingers.

Eyes are "Foamies"-covered styrofoam balls. Nose is carved styrofoam covered in fleece. Whiskers are fishing line threaded through the snout area. Ears and tail have pipe cleaner bases and are posable. Arm rods are removable and attached with snaps.

Newton was a re-learning experience for me. I haven't built anything new for a few years, so I used him to experiment with different techniques and ideas. He has areas that could use some reworking, but I followed a friend's advice and stopped at 85% satisfaction, otherwise he never might have been finished. :)
