Night Flash is the first pegacorn, or unicorn/pegasus hybrid, to exist, at least in an alternate universe from Equestria. He's a geneticist who has dedicated his life to improving hybrids, in response to his belief that he is a murderer; while he was in the womb, he absorbed another fetus that was accidentally fertilized. As a result, he is self-loathing and very, very irritable, with a violent streak.
