Indian Corn Cob by Pinkerton

Indian Corn Cob

Pinkerton

The Indian Corn Cob, Euphorbia mammillaris v. variegata, is a bizarre succulent with both a distinct honeycomb texture and unusual coloring. The spines, unlike a cactus, are actually sterile peduncles, the structures that normally bear one or more flowers on other plants.
