AND THEN THERE CAME A TURNING POINT: the discovery of Paint Tool SAI.

I use SAI for almost all my digital drawing and coloring needs at this point, with Photoshop saved for touch-ups and effects.

Since I had largely abandoned simple cel shading, flat colors and inking in Photoshop due to the jitteriness and the frequently muddy colors, SAI was really excellent for smooth, bold lines and hues so these were a few initial experiments in that.

The critters are three of my character's Pokemon in Route 29, a panfandom roleplaying game I've been in for several years.
